چکیده

This study studied the ex-situ catalytic pyrolysis of waste polyethylene (WPE) with activated carbon (AC). It was found that operating parameters and AC/WPE mass ratio had complex interactions on WPE-AC oil gas yields. A hybrid method artificial neural network (ANN) coupled genetic algorithm (GA) used to establish mathematical expressions yields under different conditions optimize obtain highest yield. The R2 values average absolute relative errors between experimental ANN predicted were 0.9992 0.60%, 0.9830 5.01% in training testing tests, respectively. optimal production calculated by ANN-GA 69.16 wt% 479 °C, 1, 10 mL/min. yield 69.63 parameters, which close value ANN-GA. oils characterized Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS). types oil's functional groups did not change ratios. composed alkenes, naphthenes, alkanes, aromatic hydrocarbons ranging from C8 C33. affected fractions a great extent.

Renewable phenols production by catalytic microwave pyrolysis of Douglas fir sawdust pellets with activated carbon catalysts.

The effects of different activated carbon (AC) catalysts based on various carbon sources on products yield and chemical compositions of upgraded pyrolysis oils were investigated using microwave pyrolysis of Douglas fir sawdust pellets. Results showed that high amounts of phenols were obtained (74.61% and 74.77% in the upgraded bio-oils by DARCO MRX (wood based) and DARCO 830 (lignite coal based...

Co-Production of Activated Carbon and Bio-Oil from Agricultural Residues by Molten Salt Pyrolysis

The feasibility of co-producing activated carbon and bio-oil from rice stalk through molten salt pyrolysis is reported in this work. The results indicated that: (1) mixed ZnCl2-KCl molten salt could considerably improve the solid and liquid yield as well as the ratio of H2 and CH4 selectively (compared to the traditional ZnCl2 method), (2) an increase of pyrolysis temperature had the same impac...
